Why MAXcellence
Across more than two decades in regional and international finance leadership — and hands-on experience in villa management, hospitality asset management, and mixed-use development — Mayple Yap kept meeting the same gap. Business owners and investors had reports. What they didn't have were answers: how the business was truly performing, where costs could be improved, and what needed to be in place before the next investment.
MAXcellence was founded to close that gap — building the reporting systems, cost structures and financial models that hoteliers, villa owners, F&B operators, sports club owners, resort developers and real estate investors can actually run a business on.

The founder

Mayple Yap is the founder of MAXcellence and a Chartered Accountant with more than two decades of regional and international finance leadership experience — spanning finance transformation, business partnering, controllership, treasury and cash management, cost rationalisation, internal controls, corporate governance, consolidation, fundraising, business feasibility studies and strategic planning.
She holds a Master of Science in Finance, a Bachelor of Science in Applied Accounting, and a Diploma in Banking and Financial Management with Merit. She is an ASEAN CPA, a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), and a Chartered Accountant of Singapore.
Before founding MAXcellence, she held senior finance leadership roles across multinational corporations, regional groups, real estate development, hospitality, asset management, telecommunications, technology, manufacturing and property-related businesses — overseeing regional finance operations, group reporting, statutory compliance, financial modelling, budgeting, fundraising support, investor reporting, corporate restructuring and performance improvement.
Her practical experience also extends into villa management, hospitality-related asset management, mixed development projects and integrated lifestyle projects. Today she works directly with hoteliers, villa owners, F&B operators, sports club owners, resort developers and real estate investors — identifying gaps, strengthening processes, improving financial visibility, optimising cost structures, developing KPIs, sourcing better suppliers and supporting business expansion with clarity and control.
